Clarity of Practice Philosophy and Purpose
We explore the challenges and dysfunctions of the present health care delivery system particularly addressing the issues of childbirth and family health care decisions. The goal is to build understanding in the student on the psycho-neurological dynamics in the child and the family which face the chiropractor and the chiropractic practice. Emphasis is placed on the emerging health care industry focus on salutogenesis (factors which improve health) rather than pathogenesis (factors which cause disease) and the role of the chiropractor to address those cultural needs. Participants will be able to view a larger context of the chiropractor/practice member (doctor/patient) relationship. They will be able to define their personal epistemology of practice within a framework of chiropractic philosophy.
Principles and practices of chiropractic
Patient Centered Spinal Evaluation
